Product Description

Absolutely fresh Carolina Reaper pepper pods.  These were grown from the same seed stock as our award winning peppers.  From our organic homestead garden to your home in a matter of days.  Each small flat rate box is full of fresh Carolina Reaper pepper pods.

Fresh Carolina Reaper Pepper Pods

Our fresh organic Carolina Reaper pepper pods are picked, packed, and shipped same day. We pick the best available peppers the morning after we recieve your order. They are then lightly rinced and shipped the same day.

Field Grown Carolina Reaper Peppers

Organic field grown Carolina Reaper peppers. Not container grown. Not polluted with pesticides or herbacides. Our produce is field grown, the way Mother Nature intended. We fertalize with aged organic compost. We water with captured rain from ponds that are home to fish, frog and duck. Our weed control is natural mulch and hand pulling. Our pest control is left up to chicken, duck, and all natural hot pepper tea.

We choose Mother Nature and hard work because we can taste the difference and believe you will too. Sure, you can grow a hot pepper in a container with pesticide and herbacide to make your job easier, but there is much more to hot peppers than just the heat. There are the amazing flavors under all of that heat which are greatly enhanced when you grow as nature intended.

About the Carolina Reaper Pepper

The Carolina Reaper (aka HP22B & HP22BNH) was declared the hottest pepper in the world by Guinness World Records on August 7, 2013. It was initially created by Ed Currie, owner of the Puckerbutt Pepper Company ©

  • Germination: 6 - 12 Days
  • Days till Maturity: 90
  • Color: Matures from green, to orange, to red

  • Under all that heat is a sweet, fruity flavor with a hint of cinnamon, chocolate, and a wee bit of an earthy smoke flavor. Wow hot. I had no idea. Could not eat them whole. Used them in chili.

The first time I tried a Ghost pepper I thought it was hot. Then came the Scorpion, now this. This thing, it’s not a snacking pepper unless your tongue is made of teflon, but the flavor is out of the park awesome. I love cooking with these. Years ago I used Habanero for chili and other dishes, but now it’s the Reapers I turn to. And honestly the pepper itself is really nice looking. It looks dangerous but beautiful at the same time. You think it looks red in the pictures? Wait till you have one in your hands. Be forewarned, though: wear latex gloves, wash your hands repeatedly after touching these even with the gloves on. I’m guessing you could even use these to make a salve for sore muscles. I think that’ll be my next experiment.

I finally got to try the highly vaunted Carolina Reaper, and I was not disappointed. They’re everything you’d expect them to be. The flavor is soft, rich fruit, and the heat is intense. These were firm, fresh, intensely red pods. Hat off to you, Mr. Drew. You and yours grow some outstanding peppers. I’m hooked.
