Fresh Carolina Reapers for sale by Peppers by Mail are a seasonal treat.  Dried Carolina Reaper peppers simply do not compare.  Carolina Reapers in hot sauce fall far short of the fresh flavor.  Even fresh Carolina Reapers grown with less than organic methods do not have the distinct flavor of the Carolina Reaper Peppers for sale by Peppers by Mail.  Just like homegrown vs. grocery store tomato, there is a difference.

Fresh Carolina Reaper Peppers for Sale & at Your Door

The Hottest Pepper in the World

Carolina Reapers

In 2013, Guinness World records certified the Carolina Reaper as the hottest pepper in the world.  This displaced the previous champion: The Trinidad Scorpion Butch T strain.  Tests submitted by Ed Currie, reported creator, reportedly averaged 1,569,300 SHU.  Some specimines reached as high as 2,200,000 SHU.  Since that time there has been much speculation that the Carolina Reaper is a rebranded 7 Pot Primo pepper.  Center to that controversy are the many tests which show the two peppers test at surprisingly similar heat ranges.  Sometimes the 7 pot Primo tests higher.  Other times, the Carolina Reaper tests higher.  Either way, either pepper will melt your face.

Award Winning Strain of Carolina Reapers

Carolina Reapers

Ours is an award winning strain.  It began year ago with the official release of the original seed stock.  From that first year, we have been selectively seed saving, culling, and improving the dna of our strain.  Our peppers have even been tested by South West Biolabs.  They continue to produce what Guinness World Records says is the hottest pepper in the world.

All Natural Agricultural Techniques

We do not container grow our produce stock.  No drip irrigation.  No artificial chemicals.  The Carolina Reaper Peppers for sale by Peppers by Mail are field grown with all natural techniques.  We use a modified traditional Germanic technique called Hügelkultur.  All weeding is done manually and helped with heavy organic mulch.  Our pest control is handled by our free ranging ducks and chicken.  You can really taste the difference.

Wow hot. I had no idea. Could not eat them whole. Used them in chili.

The first time I tried a Ghost pepper I thought it was hot. Then came the Scorpion, now this. This thing, it’s not a snacking pepper unless your tongue is made of teflon, but the flavor is out of the park awesome. I love cooking with these. Years ago I used Habanero for chili and other dishes, but now it’s the Reapers I turn to. And honestly the pepper itself is really nice looking. It looks dangerous but beautiful at the same time. You think it looks red in the pictures? Wait till you have one in your hands. Be forewarned, though: wear latex gloves, wash your hands repeatedly after touching these even with the gloves on. I’m guessing you could even use these to make a salve for sore muscles. I think that’ll be my next experiment.

I finally got to try the highly vaunted Carolina Reaper, and I was not disappointed. They’re everything you’d expect them to be. The flavor is soft, rich fruit, and the heat is intense. These were firm, fresh, intensely red pods. Hat off to you, Mr. Drew. You and yours grow some outstanding peppers. I’m hooked.

Thank you. We’ve actually had a problem with customer service in the email department. Growing pains. But my wife Aimee is now on board doing customer service and we are experimenting with a ticket system that will be able to order emails. We do goof us now and then, but unlike the post office we make things right when things go wrong.
