living in the desert presents very challenging problems...I’ve overcome the heat issue by growing during the winter under lights....I grow super hots and crosses, tomatoes and some fruit trees...Love to ferment peppers and make my own hot sauce..

Welcome to the PBM forum.  Have a question about the heat: Have you tried shade cloth at all?  I cant imagine.  Here season extension means trying to keep things warm, not cool.

Welcome! Living in Las Vegas, I can relate to the challenges of growing peppers in a desert climate.

Have been considering shade cloth because a few variety seem to be getting sun burn lately.  Not sure I could manage in your climate.
