Fresh Peppers are the heart of our homestead’s farmer’s market business, so naturally they have become the cornerstone of our online business. We provide gourmet mail order peppers.
Fresh Mail Order Peppers
Although it might seem a bit of an oxymoron, fresh peppers really can be had by mail. In fact, when you order fresh peppers from Peppers by Mail you will receive peppers fresher than you can probably find at your grocery store. We hand pick just a wee bit before the peppers are perfectly ripe, pack, and ship the same day. Grocery store peppers are much more likely to be harvested mechanically and shipped internationally.
Our homestead gardens are 100% organic. We use ducks and chicken for pest control. For weeds, we use large amounts of mulch and even more hand labor. During the winter, we use a cover crop and allow our goats, sheep and other critters to graze. Like the ducks and chicken, they help fertilize the soil as they go. Our water comes from a series of staggered ponds, one feeding the next, in which we stock various fish. This results in additional fertilization and cuts down on the various impurities found in county and city waters. So when we say fresh, we mean fresh. You really can taste the difference.
Restaurants and Chefs
Media reports are clear that the super hot peppers are becoming more and more popular. Companies like Popeye’s Chicken and Red Robin have embraced the Red Ghost pepper. Truth be known, the Red Ghost pepper has become quite a bit less than rare. Why not offer your patrons something truly unique and unusual?
The 7 Pot variety of super hot peppers gets its name from the observance that a single pepper can spice up 7 pots of stew. One of our small flat rate boxes of fresh peppers typically contains between 20 and 30 depending on the size of the pepper. A single box goes a very long way. However, if you want the absolute freshest peppers we can arrange delivery or pick up for larger orders.
